This policy explains how dating app fees, payments, refund requests, failed payments, duplicate payments, and service-related cancellations are handled.

Important: Local Dating Partner registration and basic profile listing are free. Payments are required only for optional or specific service stages, such as the Featured Profile upgrade or the one-time Profile Confirmation Fee.

1. Introduction

This Refund & Payment Policy applies to the Ensolanka Dating platform and explains how payments made by Local Dating Partners are handled.

The platform allows Sri Lankan Local Dating Partners to create profile listings, receive interest from international Guests, express interest in Guest profiles, proceed through a Mutual Interest process, and request dating-event facilitation where the required conditions are satisfied.

By making a payment through the dating app, you agree to the terms described in this Policy, together with the Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and any payment instructions shown at checkout or in the Payment Center.

The fees above reflect the current Local Dating Partner program structure. Ensolanka may update fees, add new payable features, provide promotions, or revise service pricing in the future. The amount displayed on the platform at the time of payment will apply to that payment.

3. Free Registration and Profile Listing

Local Dating Partners do not need to pay to:

  • Create an account.
  • Submit a dating partner profile.
  • Remain listed on the platform, subject to profile approval and platform rules.
  • Receive interest from eligible Guests.

Free profile listing does not guarantee approval, public visibility, Guest interest, Mutual Interest, a dating arrangement, or any relationship outcome.

4.1 Purpose of the Featured Profile Fee

The Featured Profile fee is an optional payment that may provide increased credibility, better visibility, improved presentation in the Local Dating Partner list, and access to view certain private Guest profiles, subject to platform permissions.

4.2 Nature of the Fee

The Featured Profile fee is paid for the activation or provision of the featured visibility benefit available at that time. It is not a payment for a guaranteed Guest message, guaranteed match, guaranteed date, or guaranteed relationship.

4.3 No Guaranteed Results

Payment of the Featured Profile fee does not guarantee:

  • Any specific number of profile views.
  • Interest from Guests.
  • Mutual Interest.
  • Contact-detail access.
  • A dating event.
  • A romantic relationship or personal outcome.

5. One-time Profile Confirmation Fee – USD 50

5.1 Purpose of the Confirmation Fee

The Profile Confirmation Fee is a one-time payment that supports the confirmed dating-partner stage of the process. It becomes relevant where a Local Dating Partner wants to proceed with eligible Mutual Interest cases, contact-detail unlocking, and Ensolanka-supported dating-event arrangements, subject to the applicable conditions.

5.2 One-Time Fee, Not Per Guest

The current Profile Confirmation Fee is USD 50. It is a one-time fee and is not charged separately for every Guest or every dating event.

5.3 What the Fee Supports

Subject to platform rules and operational feasibility, the Confirmation Fee may support:

  • Confirmed Local Dating Partner status for eligible dating processes.
  • Progression of qualifying Mutual Interest cases.
  • Contact-detail access where all required conditions are met.
  • Eligibility to request or participate in multiple dating-event arrangements over time.

5.4 Conditions Still Apply

Payment of the Confirmation Fee does not remove other requirements. A dating arrangement or contact-access process may still depend on:

  • Mutual Interest between both parties.
  • Guest confirmation of visit or arrival status where required.
  • Local Dating Partner compliance with platform rules.
  • Safety review, scheduling, and operational feasibility.
  • Consent of both the Guest and the Local Dating Partner.

6. Payment Center and Payment Status

The Dating Partner Dashboard may provide a Payment Center where Local Dating Partners can review:

  • Current payable items.
  • Featured Profile payment status.
  • Profile Confirmation Fee status.
  • Pending, due, upcoming, paid, or failed payment records where supported.
  • Checkout options and transaction-related information.

A payment is treated as complete only after the relevant payment gateway, transaction process, or platform payment status confirms successful completion.

7. General Refund Principles

Ensolanka aims to handle refund requests fairly, transparently, and in line with the actual status of the paid feature or service.

Refund decisions may consider:

  • Whether the payment was successful and traceable.
  • Whether the feature or service was already activated or made available.
  • Whether the user received the relevant benefit or access.
  • Whether the issue resulted from a technical error, duplicate charge, or platform mistake.
  • Whether the refund request is made promptly and supported with relevant payment evidence.
Practical Approach: Refunds are not intended to reverse a valid payment simply because the user did not receive a match, date, or relationship outcome. Refund review focuses on payment accuracy, feature activation, service availability, and genuine transaction issues.

8. Refund Requests That May Be Considered

Ensolanka may consider a refund, partial refund, reversal, or account credit in circumstances such as:

  • A clearly duplicated payment for the same payable item.
  • A successful charge where the platform did not activate the relevant paid feature due to a technical error.
  • A payment made for a feature that Ensolanka later confirms was unavailable and not delivered.
  • An incorrect amount charged due to a system error.
  • A payment made by mistake and reported before the relevant feature or confirmation benefit was used or activated, subject to review.
  • Any other case where Ensolanka determines that a refund is fair and appropriate.

Ensolanka may request payment references, transaction screenshots, bank or gateway notices, date and time of payment, account email, and any other information necessary to review the matter.

9. Situations That Are Generally Non-Refundable

Unless Ensolanka decides otherwise in a particular case, the following are generally non-refundable:

  • A Featured Profile payment after the featured status, visibility benefit, or related access has been activated or made available.
  • A Profile Confirmation Fee after confirmed status, contact-access eligibility, or dating-arrangement eligibility has been activated or made available.
  • Payments where the user simply does not receive Guest interest, Mutual Interest, a dating event, or a relationship.
  • Payments where a Guest later changes their mind, cancels communication, or decides not to proceed personally.
  • Payments affected by user-provided incorrect information, failure to respond, failure to follow the process, or breach of platform rules.
  • Payments connected to an account that is restricted, suspended, or terminated due to misconduct, fraud concerns, abuse, or violation of Terms.
Important: Ensolanka does not sell guaranteed relationships. Payments are for platform features, confirmed service stages, and facilitation-related eligibility—not for a guaranteed match, marriage, or personal outcome.

10. Dating Event Cancellations and Service Changes

10.1 Event Cancellation by a Guest or Local Partner

A Guest or Local Dating Partner may decide not to proceed with a planned meeting. Such personal cancellation does not automatically create a refund right for the Profile Confirmation Fee, because the Confirmation Fee is a one-time platform confirmation fee rather than a per-date ticket.

10.2 Event Postponement or Rescheduling

Where appropriate and operationally possible, Ensolanka may help reschedule a proposed dating event if both parties remain interested and the circumstances allow it.

10.3 Ensolanka Unable to Facilitate an Arrangement

If Ensolanka determines that a specific dating arrangement cannot proceed due to safety, availability, scheduling, travel-confirmation, or operational reasons, Ensolanka may, depending on the circumstances, offer alternative coordination, postponement, or another reasonable solution. This does not necessarily mean that the underlying one-time Confirmation Fee becomes refundable.

10.4 Dating Host or Third-Party Costs

If a Dating Host, venue, transportation service, or another third-party arrangement involves a separate fee, any refund related to that separate component may depend on the specific service status, booking terms, and cancellation timing presented for that service.

11. Failed, Pending, Duplicate, or Incorrect Payments

11.1 Failed Payments

If a payment fails, is declined, or is not confirmed by the payment gateway, the related feature or confirmation status may not be activated.

11.2 Pending Payments

If a transaction appears pending, Ensolanka may wait for the payment gateway or banking partner to confirm whether the payment was successful, failed, or reversed.

11.3 Duplicate Payments

If you believe you were charged twice for the same payment item, contact Ensolanka promptly with transaction evidence. Verified duplicate payments may be refunded, reversed, or credited after review.

11.4 Incorrect Amount Charged

If the system charges an incorrect amount because of a confirmed platform or payment error, Ensolanka may correct the record and consider refunding or adjusting the difference, as appropriate.

12. Chargebacks, Reversals, and Payment Disputes

If you believe there is a genuine payment problem, you should first contact Ensolanka through the official contact channel so that the issue can be reviewed.

Raising an external chargeback, bank dispute, or payment reversal while retaining an activated paid feature or confirmed platform benefit may result in temporary account review, restriction of the associated feature, or suspension of the related payment-dependent access until the matter is resolved.

Payment processors and banking providers may have their own dispute, refund, and reversal procedures.   • New host-related service options.
  • Operational, legal, or consumer-service improvements.

Updated versions will be published on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Payments made after a revision will generally be governed by the version displayed at the time of payment, unless otherwise required.
