Host in Sri Lanka is a Hosting Partner and event coordination platform by Ensolanka. It connects Sri Lankan venues and hospitality businesses with guests who want romantic dates, proposal events, anniversaries, birthdays, honeymoon moments, private dinners, and other celebration experiences.

The platform is strongly focused on couple-related and romantic experiences, such as dates, proposals, anniversaries, and honeymoon moments. However, it can also support birthdays, private dining, small celebrations, and suitable custom events depending on the Host and Ensolanka’s approval.

No. Ensolanka generally acts as the platform operator, introducer, coordinator, and event-management support provider. The actual venues are owned or operated by independent Hosting Partners, who remain responsible for their venue, staff, food, safety, services, and event delivery.

Hosting Partner Registration

For Venues and Hosts

Questions for restaurants, hotels, villas, rooftops, gardens, resorts, event spaces, and other places that want to become Hosting Partners.

Suitable Hosting Partners may include restaurants, hotels, resorts, private villas, banquet halls, party halls, cabanas, lounges, rooftops, gardens, outdoor venues, beachfront places, lakeside venues, spas, farm stays, event halls, boats, heritage venues, parks, honeymoon resorts, and similar spaces.

The person registering must have the authority to represent the venue or business.

No. A Hosting Partner profile, venue listing, event package, meal plan, or add-on service may be reviewed by Ensolanka before public visibility. Approval may depend on completeness, suitability, image quality, pricing clarity, safety, communication reliability, and platform standards.

Yes, Hosts can update prices, descriptions, images, inclusions, exclusions, meal plans, and add-ons. However, updates may be subject to review, especially when they affect public listings or already requested arrangements.

Event Packages

Packages, Meals, and Add-ons

Questions about how hosts present their experiences and how guests select them.

An Event Package is a structured offer created by a Host for a specific experience, such as a romantic date, proposal, anniversary, birthday, honeymoon moment, private dinner, or custom celebration. It may include duration, base price, guest capacity, inclusions, exclusions, meal information, decoration status, and optional services.

Not always. Some packages may include meals, while others may offer meals separately as a Meal Plan. The package details should clearly state whether meals are included or priced separately.

Add-on services are optional extras that can improve the celebration experience. Examples include cakes, flowers, photography, videography, decoration, music, transport, private service staff, special lighting, gift arrangements, and entertainment.

Yes. If a package is customizable, or if the Host can support custom arrangements, guests may submit specific requirements. Ensolanka will review the request and coordinate with the Host to confirm availability, pricing, and feasibility.

Booking Process

Guest Requests and Confirmations

Questions about what happens after a guest selects a venue or package.

Usually, no. The platform follows a managed request and confirmation process. Ensolanka checks availability, confirms the details with the Host, reviews pricing and inclusions, and then guides the guest toward confirmation and payment where required.

A booking is considered confirmed only after Ensolanka and the Host confirm availability and details, and after the guest completes any required payment, deposit, or confirmation step.

Yes. Ensolanka may decline requests that appear unsafe, unlawful, unsuitable, incomplete, unrealistic, unavailable, outside platform scope, or inconsistent with Host or platform standards.

Pricing and Commission

Costs, Payments, and Host Commission

Questions about pricing, payment items, gateway charges, and Ensolanka’s 10% commission model.

Hosts set their own venue, package, meal, and add-on prices. However, Ensolanka may review pricing for clarity, fairness, consistency, and guest suitability before publishing or confirming an arrangement.

Unless otherwise agreed, Ensolanka charges a 10% Host-side commission from the confirmed event or service value. Hosts should consider this commission when setting their prices.

Example: If the confirmed event price is USD 300, Ensolanka’s 10% commission is USD 30, and the Host-side gross value before other Host costs is USD 270.

Not always. Some prices may be estimated, tentative, subject to availability, seasonal variation, guest count, meal choices, add-ons, or final Host confirmation. Final payable amounts are confirmed during the coordination process.

Payments may be handled through the Ensolanka platform, third-party payment gateways, bank transfer, offline payment, direct Host payment, or another approved method. The exact method depends on the booking, payment status, and Ensolanka’s coordination process.

Cancellations and Refunds

Questions about deposits, cancellation requests, refunds, and rescheduling.

A guest may request cancellation, but refund eligibility depends on timing, Host policy, preparation status, payment type, venue reservation, purchased materials, meals, third-party services, and Ensolanka coordination work already completed.

Deposits may be refundable, partially refundable, or non-refundable depending on the Host policy, event type, preparation status, and cancellation timing. Custom decorations, flowers, cakes, photography deposits, music deposits, venue reservation costs, and meals already prepared may be non-refundable.

Rescheduling may be possible if the Host, Guest, and Ensolanka agree. It depends on availability, event type, payment status, preparation already completed, third-party service availability, and any extra costs.

Safety and Responsibility

Rules, Safety, and Platform Responsibility

Questions about guest conduct, Host obligations, content, safety, and platform limitations.

The Host is responsible for venue safety, staff conduct, hygiene, food safety, physical setup, local law compliance, and delivery of agreed services. Ensolanka supports platform coordination, but the Host remains responsible for actual venue operations.

Hosts must not use Ensolanka-provided leads or guest details to bypass the platform and avoid commission. Communication may be coordinated through Ensolanka or approved channels depending on the booking stage.

No. Ensolanka helps with introductions, coordination, and platform support, but it cannot guarantee emotional outcomes, proposal acceptance, relationship success, guest satisfaction, Host performance, weather, third-party services, or specific event results.

Yes. Ensolanka may remove, hide, suspend, or reject Hosts, venues, packages, meal plans, add-ons, or user accounts if there are quality, safety, legal, communication, misleading information, circumvention, or platform policy concerns.
