This Terms & Conditions page is prepared as a working legal-policy document for the
Host in Sri Lanka platform. Before final publication, Ensolanka may review and update
this content with legal advice to suit operational, jurisdictional, tax, payment,
consumer protection, and hospitality requirements.
1. Introduction
Welcome to Host in Sri Lanka, a hosting partner and event coordination
platform operated under the Ensolanka travel and lifestyle ecosystem.
By accessing, registering, listing a venue, submitting an event package, making an inquiry,
requesting an arrangement, booking a hosting service, or otherwise using the Host in Sri Lanka
platform, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
These Terms apply to all users of the platform, including Hosting Partners, venue owners,
restaurants, hotels, villas, resorts, event spaces, guests, visitors, couples, event requesters,
Ensolanka staff, coordinators, affiliates, and representatives using or administering the platform.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the platform.
2. Definitions
“Platform” means the Host in Sri Lanka website, web application, dashboards,
booking request system, public listings, event package pages, communication channels,
and any related Ensolanka-managed digital services.
“Ensolanka,” “we,” “our,” or “us” refers to Ensolanka LLC,
Ensolanka Holdings (Pvt) Ltd, and/or authorized representatives operating the Host in Sri Lanka platform.
“Hosting Partner” or “Host” means any registered person, business, venue owner,
operator, manager, or representative who creates an account to list a venue, event package,
meal plan, add-on service, or related hosting offer.
“Guest” means any person using the platform to view, inquire about, request,
select, or book a venue, event package, meal plan, add-on service, or celebration arrangement.
“Venue” means a location listed or submitted by a Hosting Partner, including
restaurants, hotels, resorts, villas, banquet halls, cabanas, rooftops, gardens, outdoor venues,
beaches, lakeside or riverfront venues, spas, farmhouses, event halls, boats, river cruises,
heritage venues, parks, botanical gardens, manor-style venues, honeymoon resorts, or similar spaces.
“Event Package” means a host-created or platform-presented arrangement for a
romantic date, proposal event, anniversary, birthday, honeymoon moment, private dinner,
celebration, or custom event.
“Meal Plan” means food and beverage offerings listed separately or included
within an Event Package.
“Add-on Service” means optional or additional services such as decoration,
flowers, cakes, photography, music, transport, private staff, special setup, gift arrangements,
entertainment, or any other service connected to the hosted experience.
“Booking Request” means a guest’s request to arrange, reserve, review,
or confirm a venue, Event Package, Meal Plan, or Add-on Service.
“Confirmed Booking” means an arrangement that has been accepted, reviewed,
priced, confirmed, and/or paid according to the platform process.
“Commission” means the fee payable to Ensolanka from the Host’s listed or
confirmed event value, generally 10% unless otherwise agreed.
4. Ensolanka’s Role
Ensolanka acts as a digital platform operator, introducer, facilitator, coordinator,
and event-management support provider.
Unless otherwise expressly stated in writing, Ensolanka is not the owner or operator of the
listed venues. Hosting Partners remain responsible for the actual venue, staff, food, safety,
services, event setup, legal compliance, and delivery of the agreed hosting experience.
Ensolanka may assist with:
- Promoting approved Hosting Partners
- Publishing venue and package information
- Receiving guest requests
- Communicating with Hosts
- Checking availability
- Coordinating event details
- Confirming prices and inclusions
- Creating payable items for Guests
- Collecting platform payments where applicable
- Supporting communication between Guests and Hosts
- Managing the review, approval, or removal of listings
Ensolanka does not guarantee that every listing will receive inquiries, bookings, payments,
or confirmed business.
5. Eligibility to Use the Platform
To use the platform as a Hosting Partner, you must:
- Be legally able to represent the listed venue or business
- Have authority to publish venue, price, service, and package information
- Provide accurate business and contact information
- Comply with applicable Sri Lankan laws, licenses, safety rules, and hospitality requirements
- Be able to provide the services, facilities, and packages you list
- Accept Ensolanka’s coordination, review, approval, and commission structure
To use the platform as a Guest, you must:
- Provide accurate contact and booking request details
- Use the platform for lawful purposes only
- Respect venue rules, Host policies, and payment requirements
- Avoid misuse, fraud, harassment, abuse, or false requests
- Be responsible for your own behavior and the behavior of any accompanying persons
Ensolanka may refuse registration, suspend access, remove listings, or decline requests
at its discretion.
6. Hosting Partner Registration
Hosting Partners may register through the platform by submitting required details such as
business name, contact person name, email, phone number, WhatsApp number, profile image,
business introduction, venue details, event package information, meal plans, add-on services,
pricing details, images, and descriptions.
After registration, a Hosting Partner account may be created with dashboard access.
Hosting Partner accounts may be subject to review, approval, rejection, suspension,
or removal by Ensolanka.
Registration does not automatically guarantee public listing, featured visibility,
guest inquiries, or confirmed bookings.
7. Approval & Listing Review
A Host Profile may have statuses such as pending, approved, rejected, suspended, inactive,
active, featured, or standard.
Ensolanka may review Host Profiles based on:
- Completeness of information
- Business suitability
- Venue type
- Service relevance
- Image quality
- Pricing clarity
- Guest safety
- Communication reliability
- Past performance
- Compliance concerns
- Platform quality standards
Ensolanka may request corrections, improvements, additional information, or supporting
documents before approving a Host Profile or listing.
8. Venue Listings
Hosting Partners may submit venue listings including venue name, category, location,
city, district, address, descriptions, facilities, capacity, suitability for romantic
or celebration events, parking, meal availability, decoration suitability, image gallery,
availability notes, and pricing notes.
Hosts must ensure all submitted venue information is accurate, lawful, and not misleading.
Ensolanka may edit, reject, hide, approve, feature, or remove venue listings where necessary
to maintain quality, safety, legal compliance, or platform consistency.
9. Event Packages
Hosts may create Event Packages for romantic dates, proposal events, anniversary celebrations,
birthday celebrations, honeymoon experiences, private dinners, custom celebrations,
small private events, and other suitable hosted experiences.
Event Packages may include:
- Title and event type
- Short and full descriptions
- Duration
- Base price
- Number of people included
- Extra person pricing
- Meal, decoration, photography, and music inclusion status
- Customization options
- Inclusions and exclusions
- Pricing notes
- Package image
- Listing and approval status
Hosts are responsible for accurately stating what is included and excluded. Where meals,
decoration, photography, music, or other services are not included, this must be clearly stated.
10. Meal Plans & Add-on Services
Hosts may list Meal Plans separately or as part of an Event Package. Meal Plans may include
menu title, description, price per person, minimum people, featured status, active status,
image, and review status.
Hosts must comply with food safety, hygiene, allergy, and hospitality requirements.
Guests are responsible for informing Ensolanka and the Host of dietary restrictions,
allergies, religious food requirements, or special meal preferences before confirmation.
Add-on Services may include:
- Cakes
- Flowers
- Decoration
- Photography or videography
- Music
- Transport
- Private waiter or butler service
- Special lighting
- Gift arrangements
- Event styling
- Entertainment
- Spa or wellness additions
- Other celebration-related services
Each Add-on Service must include clear descriptions and pricing. Hosts are responsible
for delivering approved Add-on Services according to the agreed terms.
11. Public & Featured Listings
Approved Host Profiles, Venues, Event Packages, Meal Plans, and Add-on Services may be
displayed publicly on Host in Sri Lanka and/or other Ensolanka ecosystem pages,
including Live in Sri Lanka and Date in Sri Lanka.
Public visibility may depend on:
- Approval status
- Listing completeness
- Image quality
- Active status
- Featured status
- Relevance
- Guest demand
- Platform review
- Admin decisions
Featured status may improve placement, visibility, or prominence, but it does not guarantee
booking results. Ensolanka reserves the right to approve, decline, remove, or modify
featured listing placement.
12. Guest Booking Requests
Guests may view public listings and submit interest or booking requests for venues,
Event Packages, Meal Plans, Add-on Services, custom arrangements, celebration events,
and romantic experiences.
A guest request is not automatically a confirmed booking. Ensolanka may review the request
and communicate with the Host to check availability, final price, guest requirements,
event date and time, number of participants, meal and service inclusions, special arrangements,
safety or suitability, required payments, and confirmation deadlines.
A booking becomes confirmed only after the required process is completed, including confirmation
by Ensolanka, the Host, and/or payment where applicable.
13. Pricing
Hosts are responsible for setting clear and reasonable prices for their Venues, Event Packages,
Meal Plans, and Add-on Services.
Pricing may include:
- Base package price
- Duration-based price
- Extra person price
- Meal price per person
- Add-on service price
- Custom quotation
- Seasonal variation
- Service charge
- Taxes or local fees where applicable
- Special setup charges
- Cancellation or rescheduling charges
Hosts must consider Ensolanka’s commission when setting their prices. Prices displayed on
the platform may be estimated, tentative, subject to availability, or subject to final confirmation
unless clearly marked as confirmed.
14. Ensolanka Commission
Hosting Partners agree that Ensolanka may charge a commission for organizing, referring,
coordinating, and bringing client business to them.
Standard Host-Side Commission
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the standard Host-side commission is
10% of the Host’s confirmed event price or service value.
Guest event price

Ensolanka commission — 10%

Host-side gross value before other Host costs
USD 270
Final commission may depend on the confirmed arrangement, package structure, payment method,
currency, taxes, fees, or separate agreement. Ensolanka may deduct commission before paying
the Host, invoice the Host separately, or collect commission through another agreed settlement method.
15. Payments
Payments may be handled through the Ensolanka platform, third-party gateways, bank transfer,
offline payment, direct Host payment, or other approved methods.
The platform may create payable items for Guests after a Host, package, meal plan,
or service is selected and confirmed.
Payment items may include:
- Event package fee
- Venue booking fee
- Meal plan cost
- Add-on service cost
- Deposit
- Balance payment
- Service or coordination fee
- Cancellation or rescheduling fee
- Other agreed charges
Payments may be marked as due, upcoming, paid, estimated, tentative, confirmed, or not decided
depending on the platform process. A booking may not be treated as final unless required payment
terms are satisfied.
If third-party payment processors are used, their own terms, fees, processing times, refund rules,
and restrictions may apply. Ensolanka is not responsible for third-party gateway issues beyond
its reasonable control.
16. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Guests may request cancellation of a booking or booking request. Cancellation terms may depend on
Host policy, event date, amount already paid, materials already purchased, meal preparation status,
staff scheduling, third-party commitments, decoration or package preparation, time remaining before
the event, and Ensolanka’s coordination work already completed.
Hosts must not cancel confirmed arrangements without valid reason. If a Host cancels a confirmed event,
Ensolanka may seek an alternative Host or venue, refund the Guest where applicable, remove or suspend
the Host listing, reduce visibility, record the issue, require explanation, or recover costs where applicable.
Guests or Hosts may request rescheduling. Rescheduling is subject to venue availability, Host agreement,
Guest agreement, Ensolanka coordination, payment status, preparation work already completed,
third-party service availability, and any additional costs.
Rescheduling is not guaranteed and additional charges may apply.
17. Refunds
Refund eligibility depends on the nature of the payment, timing, Host policy, preparation status,
and platform decision. Refunds may be full, partial, or unavailable.
Non-refundable items may include:
- Ensolanka coordination fees
- Platform service charges
- Payment gateway fees
- Special-order items
- Custom decorations
- Flowers
- Cakes
- Photography deposits
- Music or entertainment deposits
- Venue reservation deposits
- Meals already prepared or purchased
- Host costs already incurred
Refunds may take time depending on the payment method and gateway. A separate Refund & Payment Policy
may apply and should be read together with these Terms.
18. Guest & Host Responsibilities
Guest Responsibilities
- Provide accurate booking details
- Communicate clearly about event expectations
- Respect venue rules and staff
- Pay required amounts on time
- Attend at the agreed date and time
- Avoid unlawful, abusive, unsafe, or disrespectful behavior
- Inform Ensolanka of special needs, allergies, accessibility needs, or important preferences
- Follow local laws and cultural expectations
Guests are responsible for the behavior of accompanying persons and may be charged for damage,
misconduct, additional services, late arrival, overtime, or violation of venue rules.
Host Responsibilities
- Provide accurate information
- Maintain safe, clean, and suitable venues
- Honour approved and confirmed arrangements
- Communicate promptly with Ensolanka
- Provide agreed services at agreed prices
- Maintain required licenses, permits, insurance, and legal compliance
- Follow food safety, guest safety, and hospitality standards
- Avoid misleading descriptions or images
- Treat all guests respectfully and professionally
- Protect guest privacy and safety
- Accept Ensolanka’s commission and coordination rules
19. No Direct Circumvention
Hosts must not use Ensolanka-provided leads, guest details, platform inquiries, booking requests,
or communication channels to bypass Ensolanka and arrange direct business without paying applicable commission.
Guests must not use Host information obtained through the platform to bypass the booking process
where the opportunity was introduced by Ensolanka.
If circumvention is discovered, Ensolanka may:
- Suspend or remove the Host
- Cancel platform privileges
- Demand unpaid commission
- Restrict future access
- Take legal or commercial action where necessary
20. Submitted Content
Hosts may upload or submit profile images, venue images, package images, meal images,
add-on service images, descriptions, pricing notes, business details, event inclusions,
and exclusions.
Hosts confirm that they have the legal right to use and publish all submitted content.
Hosts must not upload content that is:
- False or misleading
- Copyright-infringing
- Offensive or illegal
- Unsafe or discriminatory
- Sexually explicit
- Abusive or unrelated to the service
- Harmful to Ensolanka’s reputation
- In violation of privacy or image rights
Ensolanka may crop, compress, edit, moderate, reject, remove, or rearrange uploaded content.
By submitting content, Hosts grant Ensolanka permission to use it for platform listing,
promotion, marketing, guest communication, social media, brochures, and related business purposes.
21. Privacy, Data Use & Communication
Ensolanka may collect and process user data necessary for platform operation, including name,
email, phone number, WhatsApp number, business information, venue information, booking request details,
payment records, messages, uploaded images, event preferences, guest requirements, and account activity.
Data may be used for:
- Account creation
- Listing management
- Event coordination
- Payment processing
- Support
- Compliance
- Fraud prevention
- Marketing where permitted
- Platform improvement
Users may be contacted through email, phone, WhatsApp, SMS, platform dashboard, staff messages,
admin notices, payment notifications, and booking updates. Users are responsible for keeping contact
details accurate and updated.
A separate Privacy Policy may apply and should be read together with these Terms.
22. Safety, Compliance & Third-Party Services
Hosts must ensure that their venues are reasonably safe and suitable for the listed experience.
Hosts are responsible for physical safety, staff conduct, hygiene, food safety, premises condition,
crowd control, local law compliance, fire, electrical, and structural safety, responsible service
where alcohol is involved, and accessibility information where relevant.
Some venues may offer alcohol, bar services, nightlife, lounge settings, or adult-oriented hospitality
environments. Hosts are responsible for complying with all applicable age restrictions, alcohol licensing
rules, local laws, and venue regulations.
Outdoor, beach, garden, rooftop, boat, river cruise, or open-air events may be affected by weather,
natural events, sea conditions, public events, government restrictions, and other external factors.
Hosts should clearly communicate backup options where possible.
Some packages may include third-party services such as photographers, musicians, decorators,
florists, cake suppliers, transport providers, entertainers, spa or wellness providers, tour operators,
or cruise operators. Third-party providers remain responsible for their own work, safety, quality,
legality, and delivery.
23. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
Ensolanka does not guarantee:
- Continuous platform access
- Guest inquiries
- Confirmed bookings
- Specific revenue
- Specific ranking or visibility
- Perfect guest satisfaction
- Host performance
- Third-party service performance
- Weather conditions
- Event outcome
- Relationship outcome
- Proposal acceptance
- Romantic success
- Guest or Host behavior
The platform supports introductions and coordination but cannot guarantee personal, emotional,
commercial, or event-specific outcomes.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ensolanka shall not be liable for indirect, incidental,
special, consequential, emotional, reputational, business, or financial losses arising from use
of the platform.
Where liability cannot be excluded by law, Ensolanka’s liability shall be limited to the amount
paid directly to Ensolanka for the relevant service, excluding third-party, Host, gateway,
or external costs.
24. Suspension & Termination
Ensolanka may suspend or terminate user accounts, Host Profiles, venue listings, packages,
or platform access if users violate these Terms, provide false information, mislead guests,
fail to deliver confirmed services, attempt to bypass commission, abuse staff, upload inappropriate
content, engage in fraud, create safety concerns, damage Ensolanka’s reputation, fail to comply with law,
repeatedly cancel, or fail to communicate.
Termination does not remove payment obligations, commission obligations, refund obligations,
or liability for past actions.
25. Other Legal Terms
Platform Availability
Ensolanka aims to keep the platform available and functional, but does not guarantee uninterrupted access.
The platform may be affected by maintenance, technical errors, hosting issues, internet outages,
payment gateway problems, security updates, data migration, software bugs, or third-party failures.
Account Security
Users are responsible for keeping their login credentials secure. Users must not share passwords
or allow unauthorized access. If unauthorized access is suspected, users should notify Ensolanka immediately.
Intellectual Property
All platform branding, design, content, logos, layouts, software, text, business models, workflows,
and system structures are owned by or licensed to Ensolanka unless otherwise stated.
Indemnity
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ensolanka, its directors, staff, affiliates, agents,
representatives, and partners from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising
from breach of these Terms, false information, Host service failure, Guest misconduct, property damage,
injury, legal violations, copyright infringement, privacy violations, commission circumvention,
fraudulent activity, third-party claims, unsafe event delivery, or food or venue-related claims.
Force Majeure
Ensolanka and Hosts shall not be liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond reasonable control,
including natural disasters, floods, storms, fire, war, civil unrest, government restrictions, health restrictions,
power failure, internet failure, transportation disruption, currency controls, gateway failure, labour disruption,
extreme weather, or safety emergencies.
Legal Compliance & Tax Responsibilities
Hosts are responsible for complying with business registration, tax obligations, food safety rules,
liquor licensing, event regulations, employment laws, health and safety rules, tourism and hospitality
requirements, insurance requirements, local authority permissions, consumer protection rules, and
data protection obligations. Hosts are responsible for reporting and paying their own taxes and
government obligations related to income received through the platform.
Relationship Between Parties
Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, partnership, franchise, agency, joint venture,
or exclusive relationship between Ensolanka and Hosts unless separately agreed in writing.
Hosts remain independent businesses or service providers.
Disputes
If a dispute arises between a Guest and Host, Ensolanka may assist in reviewing the issue,
checking platform records, and supporting a fair resolution. Ensolanka’s decision may be final
for platform-related matters such as listing status, payable item handling, refunds, commissions,
and account access.
Amendments
Ensolanka may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms may be published on the website
with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the platform after changes means the user accepts
the updated Terms.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by applicable laws relevant to Ensolanka’s operating structure,
including Sri Lankan law where services are performed in Sri Lanka, and other applicable jurisdictions
where Ensolanka LLC operates.
27. Acceptance of Terms
By using Host in Sri Lanka, registering as a Hosting Partner, submitting venue details,
listing packages, requesting an event, making a payment, or participating in any arrangement
through the platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these
Terms & Conditions.
